| Description: | The world's best junior players come to Saddlebrook Preparatory Academy and the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy to assist them in acheiving their goal of reaching their full potential and playing professionally. The Arnold Palmer Golf Academy system is a high performance golf program that gives students the opportunity to develop their total game including: technique, golf course management, competition, physical fitness, and mental conditioning.
The Golf Academy Professional will be responsible for the training and development of all participants in the academy. This professional, energetic and dedicated representative will be committed to the teaching and development of a multitude of golf academy participants (youth and adult), with the focus and primary responsbilities of this position being directed towards the youth enrolled in the Saddlebrook Preparatory Academy. These youth span a variety of ages, genders, cultures and religions. |
| Duties: | Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Facilitation of the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy program, which instills the traditions of the game.
* Providing individual profiling of fundamental technique, competitive skills and fitness.
* Utilizing computer technology as a communication tool for modeling and viewing progress.
* Facilitation of goal setting through long term semester benchmarks and daily commitment.
* Charting daily progress through balanced routine of individual training programs.
* Coordination of competitive cycles that schedule periods of development, tournament competitions and recovery time that equates to a plan for success.
* Facilitation of quarterly progress reports to motivate growth, set goals, and objectives between the athlete, coaches and parents.
* Assisting students with college placements.
* Completion of other duties, as assigned. |
| Qualifications: | Successful candidates will possess the following:
* PGA or LPGA membership.
* Bachelors degree (related field preferred).
* Five to seven years related experience.
* An understanding of the integrated functions of student affairs and range of student life issues and concerns.
* The ability to utilize strong interpersonal skills in building relationships with students, faculty, Saddlebrook Stakeholders and academy parents.
* Strong organizational, leadership, communication, computer and analytical skills.
* The ability to assess objectives and operational requirements to develop and implement suitable operational policies and procedures and manage multiple tasks to meet departmental goals, objectives and deadlines.
* The ability to supervise and train assigned staff including organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments. |
