Saddlebrook Resort is searching for a dynamic hospitality sales professional to join our talented sales team.

Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, Florida, just 30 miles north of Tampa International airport, offers an ideal and award winning resort setting with luxury hotel accommodations and facilities for corporate events, meetings and conferences, spa getaways, family reunions, kids camp, and Florida golf and tennis vacations.

Our facilities include year round golf at one of our two Arnold Palmer Signature Courses, 45 tennis courts in every grand slam surface, a European Style Spa, and four premier dining and restaurant options. As a world renowned professional training center in both golf and tennis, guests train with us at the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy and Saddlebrook International Tennis Academy, which superstars such as James Blake and Mardy Fish have chosen as their preferred training center.

For our groups and convention guests, Saddlebrook Resort provides over 95,000 square feet of flexible meeting space with full catering services. In the past year we have hosted over 400 groups ranging in size from 10 to 1000 adults.

Duties:Successful candidates will have the drive to proactively solicit business from diverse market segments (organization, association, social and corporate) through sales calls, prospecting and market research, while maintaining relationships with key existing clients towards the goal of generating repeat business. Responsibilities to include: negotiation of room rates within established guidelines, accurate forecasting of all bookings and cancellations, confirmation of all client requirements via sales contracts, conducting site visits and entertaining of clients in accordance with company policies and procedures. The National Sales Manager works on-site at Saddlebrook, but is required to travel into the market place on average of 6 trips annually.
Qualifications:Qualified candidates will meet the following criteria:


* A minimum 3 years hospitality group sales experience in the Northeast is required (preferably in a resort environment) with preference given to specific New York market experience.

*Excellent upselling, negotiation and closing skills.

*Ability to communicate professionally, effectively and concisely with clients and internal resort staff verbally and in writing.

*Drive to exceed revenue goals.

*Ability to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.

*Experience with Delphi preferred.
